Free Home Evaluation
We will carry out a detailed assessment in the privacy of the customers home (or care centre) absolutely without obligation, and at no cost, and where required, together with the patient's Occupational therapist or other healthcare support worker.
During this assessment we will:-
- Identify the wishes and needs of the patient and caregivers
- Consider the medical History
- Review the social history
- Review access and storage for mobility equipment
- Carry out a physical and anthropometric examination of the patient's needs
- Identify patient skills
- Review medical prognosis
- Evaluate existing mobility equipment
- Recommend a mobility solution where possible
- Carry out trial run in recommended equipment
- Arrange finance to provide recommended solution
During the Home Evaluation all information gathered is treated as Strictly confidential and is only used to ensure a correct assessment of customer need. We will also ensure that customers are shown how to use the equipment recommended and are safe, secure and fully competent.
During the visit customers have an opportunity to try out the scooter or powerchair recommended for them. We carry a representative sample of Mobiity scooters and powerchairs in the van.
In addition to the benefit of trying out the recommended prduct in your own environment our assessors will carefully check access and storage issues for you.
Where access is restricted by virtue of steps we are able to supply custom made ramps.
Where storage in the house, or shed is a problem we have designed a "Scootahome" for outside storage which can be provided together with a wide range of accessories.
Customers have an opportunity to test drive the proposed scooter or powerchair in the environment in which it will be used. In addition the test drive is used by our Assessor to establish the competency of the user and ensure they understand the "Highway code".
