Sequence Of Evaluation
Following the suggested sequence of evaluation will minimise the amount of patient handling and lifts. Establishing goals for patient,family, carers, medical support personnelshould take place with the patient in their existing chair. Medical and surgical history can also be taken prior to any transfers to proposed chair
Overview Of Seating Goals
- Reduce effects of abnormal tone/reflexes
- Provide corrective forces to, or accommodate orthopedic deformities
- improve functional/ ADL skills
- Accommodate sensation problems
- Improve comfort and sitting tollerance
- IMPROVE SELF IMAGE
