Service and Repair
Operating out of our Gorton Branch, most repairs and servicing can be carried out at customers’ own premises.
If we are unable to fix within 48 hours (e.g. awaiting parts), then we will, wherever possible, provide customers with a temporary loan vehicle to ensure they are still mobile if required.

We have the most advanced test equipment available to ensure that your vehicle is in good, safe, and roadworthy condition.
We will advise you of any parts required or likely to be needed in the near future.
Care of your Batteries:-
There is more rubbish information given out regarding the ‘correct’ way of looking after the batteries on your mobility scooter or powered wheelchair than you would believe.
Over the years, we have found that our customers and suppliers get the best out of their batteries when they do the following:
- Charge for a minimum period of 8 hours (some batteries over 50 A/H may require longer).
- Put your vehicle on charge after every journey, on the provision that you will be able to give it an uninterrupted charge for over 8 hours.
- Always use the charger supplied with your scooter or, if you have to replace it, a charger with exactly the same output.
- Plug the charger into the vehicle first or ensure the charger is switched off before you plug it into the mains.
- Leave on charge for a maximum of 24 hours. It should be safe to leave it longer, but we are trying to establish a best practice.
- Never allow your batteries to freeze. If this is unavoidable, you must ensure that they are naturally thawed before charging them.
- Never unplug the charger during the eight hour cycle.
- Give your scooter a full charge once every two weeks if you are not using it for any reason, because batteries will slowly drain without use.
Most batteries on mobility vehicles are "deep cycle", requiring the charging process to run through the whole sequence uninterrupted each time. When fully charged, the charger will automatically drop down to a "trickle", limiting the consumption of electricity, which is minimal in any event.
We can't stress how important it is to ensure that you never break any of the Eight Golden Rules above; if you do, then you will almost definitely decrease the life of your batteries and make any warranty you have for them void.
